Summer Skirts

I am challenging myself to make a skirt every week through the start of summer, June 21.  That would be six lovely skirts that I can wear to stay cool all summer!  Because even though I can look outside and see snow on the peaks, it gets incredibly hot here in the summer.  Task number one, go through all my fabric in my closet this weekend and see what I have that I can use.  Off the top of my head, I think I have only fall/ winter fabrics.  Hmmm, I might have to challenge myself again this fall.  I'll find some fabric from my stash this weekend and post some photos and ideas.

Right now, I am thinking of trying to make a (more colorful) knockoff of this Garnet Hill skirt.  Cotton knit?  Elastic waist?  I am all over it.
